December 1st Letter From Mrs. Conlan

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope all is well and you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. We are seeing many cases of the flu and other viruses throughout the building, Many of our staff have also been afflicted. If your child has symptoms of illness they should stay home and recuperate. Bringing them back to school too soon will expose others to illness and put your child at risk for a relapse.

Please make sure that your children are dressed warmly for the day. The weather is getting colder and the children will need to wear heavy jackets and hats. Weather permitting we try to take the children out for recess in the winter.  However, if they are not dressed appropriately  they must stay inside. Just as a reminder: Girls wear dark blue socks or tights. Boys wear gray pants with their Polo shirts. Fleeces and sweaters can always be worn, make sure your child's full name is on the fleece or sweater,

Breakfast With Santa is on Saturday, December 10th. It starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 1:00 PM.  We will have a DJ, Carols from the Drama Club, Arts and Crafts for all, Model Trains, Raffles, 50/50 and Breakfast. Click on the link to purchase your tickets. https://forms.gle/14D3APRRbRL5hc8A6

You should have received an invitation for the Christmas Carols and Nativity Play on Thursday, the 22nd of December at 1:00 PM. You will be hearing from Miss Jessica regarding what your children should wear to school on that day. The concert will be Live streamed through the parish site. https://sacredheartbayside-queens.org/livestream

Gentle Reminder: Fast food drop offs or deliveries are not permitted. It is disruptive to the classroom and unfair to the other children. I thank you for your cooperation.

The children from grades 3 - 8 will be going to reconciliation in December. We celebrated the beginning of the Advent season on Monday by having Msgr. Machalski bless our Advent wreath.

Stay well,

Mrs. Conlan
