Good Morning, and Welcome Back,

This summer has gone by too quickly. The teachers, staff and I are so happy to see you and your children return to Sacred Heart. We also welcome the new families who are beginning their journey as part of our Sacred Heart community. 

The teachers have been in the building getting ready for your children to arrive. Classrooms have been decorated and the energy is growing. Our first day is always exciting. On September 6th we will gather at 8:00 am, on 216th St. to say the prayer and the pledge together. This will mark the beginning of the new school year. All children must wear their uniforms this first week. Any leftover dressdowns must be handed in to your classroom teacher starting next week. 

This is a very special year for our school family. We begin, in 2024, the celebration of the school's 100th Anniversary. The celebrations will begin in January, at the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. Save the Dates will be sent shortly to all of the year's events. 

Meet the teacher, for grades K - 8,  will be on September 19th. We will gather in the cafeteria at 7:00 pm. The Board Chair, Mrs. Annmarie McLaughlin, Monsignor Machalsky and I will address parents and then you will be free to go to your child's class.  3K and PK families will have time to meet the teachers this week. Mrs. Cosgrove has already sent them a schedule.
