Dear Parents and Guardians,
The end of year is almost here and everything is now moving quickly. We made it through most of the state testing and the Science exam is coming up. Our students in grade 4 and 8 are well prepared to take this test.
I am happy to announce that we have installed 2 brand new SMART boards, one in the Stream Lab and another in Mr. Frawley’s classroom. They are wonderful to look at and I’m sure those students who saw it working today will have many things to say about it. The Young Author’s Program is also moving forward. It is moving quickly into completion and our students will have something beautiful to present to their families at the reception. Congratulations to two of our Fifth Graders, Suah and Angeline, for winning third Place in the Stock Market Competition.
Our Eighth grade is getting closer to graduation. If you didn’t know, all of these students have been accepted into a variety of schools. This is based on their academic successes and their TACHS scores. Many have also received scholarships to attend the school of their choice. If you haven’t already seen the list of schools they have been accepted to, please come by the Main Entrance, and you will view student names and their schools on the wall.
The construction on 38th is continuing. Everyday we are arriving to different conditions on the street. I very much appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to deal with the disruption.
I hope the days get warmer and the sun starts to shine so we can really appreciate Spring.
